What a perfect day for a bike race! The race was today (August 30th) at 8 am. It was a 14 mile race, going south on Queen's Hwy for 7 miles before turning around. 9 people came out, even though it was early on a Saturday. There were also two virtual participants who competed in Texas.
The weather was beautiful. It was sunny and relatively cool with a slight breeze. The roads however, were tough. While they are flat as a pancake, they aren't smooth. Where there aren't holes, there are dips and rises so that it is tough to ride. Plus, the pavement in the first/last mile is very rough so that it seems to slow you down.
There were several volunteers who came out to provide assistance. Thank you Miah, Curtis, Carlos, Kate, and Kelly!
Robert Lopez 44:47
Patti Findlay 45:47
Carolyn Forbes 51:00
Tausha Beins 58:30
Joe James 1:02:18
Arnie Mount 1:02:50
Sharon Middleton 1:11:21
Lisa Leggett 1:14:23
Julie Jolly 1:14:50
Cynthia Cleveland 1:12:22 - (16.8 miles)
Richard Cleveland 1:12:22 - (16.8 miles)
